    Description

    Hand Crafted Priest’s Oil Dish, “Sedre ni Waiwai”, from Fiji Carved from Native Hardwood (Vesi Wood) with Mother-of-Pearl inlay.
    Circa: 1910 - 1970
    17 inches (43.2 cm) long x 5 1/2 inches (13.4 cm) wide x 2 5/8 inches (6.5 cm) high
    Condition: Very Good: No Problems.
    Description: The Sedre ni Waiwai was used by native Fijian priests to hold oil used in votive ceremonies. It is carved by an expert craftsman from fine grained “Vesi” native hardwood.
