Eminian Communicator Prop Replica, Star Trek Original Series TOS - New Version

Buy now to get an attractive prop replica of a Eminian Communicator from the original 1966-69 Star Trek television series. We recently updated our design to be more screen accurate. This is not a model kit; it is a finished and painted piece as shown in the pictures here and is ready for use or display. This replica does NOT have electronics or functioning sound effects.
As seen in the 23rd episode of the original series 1967 first season, “A Taste of Armageddon”, this prop replica was designed to closely match the screen used version as much as possible. Every effort was put forth to replicate the original screen used prop in as close detail as possible by carefully watching the episode mentioned above. Thanks to receiving access to new photos of an original prop, we made changes to the body to make it more accurate in size, in addition to improving the lid design.
Unfortunately, we never see the communicator on screen with the lid open or in much detail, so artistic liberties were taken with the inside design. Although we know what the inside actually looks like from pictures, we chose to make a more interesting interior design. Our interior component choices were made on the assumption that the production staff on the series would have made the props look somewhat similar to the Federation communicator, and we made ours to offer optimal visual appeal while also fitting into the established universe.
Although never seen in the series again, the original communicator prop from this episode was refurbished to appear three stories later as the similar, but distinctly different, Klingon Communicator, appearing in that race's first episode, "Errand of Mercy".
This communicator was designed to look great on display, both open and closed, but it also has some action built into it to allow for more enjoyable Cosplay. The construction was made to be durable, but being plastic, it’s always a good rule to treat it with some care to avoid accidental breakage.
